Made in Offaly Shop Pops Up For Christmas!

Following on from last year’s success the Made in Offaly Shop has “popped up” again for Christmas 2015 in High Street, Tullamore. Occupying the old Kilroy’s premises, the shop is stocking a fantastic selection of Offaly produced art, music, poetry and craft.

The Made in Offaly shop will be open from now until Christmas Eve. It is a collaboration between the Arts Office and Local Enterprise Office in Offaly County Council, Offaly Local Development Company, and Offaly Craft makers and Artists. It is part of the Christmas in Tullamore initiative, supporting business and encouraging all to shop local.

The Made in Offaly pop-up shop gives a unique opportunity for talented local artists and crafts’ people to sell their products in the County town. Customers will be able to see firsthand the quality and diversity of local craft and have an opportunity to buy locally made products. Furthermore, by occupying a vacant retail premises, the pop-up shop gives a much needed boost to the main shopping area in the town and should attract visitors to the town.

There is an exciting range of products including: jewellery, fashion accessories, hats, scarves, poetry collections, music, handmade craft children’s books, photography, paintings, beanbags, soaps, slate work, and fine wood craft. In addition, there is a delicious variety of artisan food items including chocolates, cranberry sauces and relishes. Prices start from €2 so there really is something for everyone!
